Michelle I think you definitely hit it right on for Bloom's higher and lower order thinking. Both of these are great questions. The second one definitely requires higher-order thinking skills, because you do not only have to solve the problem through self-regulation, but you also are required to create a scenario in which self-regulated problem solving would be appropriate. This could be very helpful to us as future teachers, because we have determine whether children are really capable of solving problems on their own or if they really do need help.
