Question 2:

How will developmental milestones affect your teaching? (evaluate)

2 comments:

  1. Developmental milestones are changes in a child's behavior than mark progress in his or her development.

In high school math, I would take note if a student hadn't reached Piaget's Formal Operations Stage. It would be extremely difficult for a student who hadn't reached this stage to learn algebra.

  2. 1. Developmental milestones are goals that are used as suggested guidelines that help parents and teachers keep track of where students are at in their learning, behavior, and overall development.

2.Developmental milestones will be extremely helpful in the classroom. It will help in seeing which students are reaching their milestones, which are falling short of the milestones, and which are surpassing the goals. This will also help me to evaluate which students may need extra help to stay up with everyone else in the class and make sure students are developing at the proper pace.
