QTC chpt 10


1.            What is the definition of cognitive modeling? (Remember)

2.            Describe how a teacher can be an effective model of the problem-solving process. (Apply/Evaluate)

  1. 1. "Modeling of academic skills can be especially effective when the model demonstrates not only how to do a task but also how to think about the task"

    2. I believe this is where the "I Do, We Do, You Do" model comes in to play. The instructor will demonstrate problem-solving first to students (i.e. in math). Then students will complete a similar problem and apply strategies to other problems in the same manner.
