QTC
I like the way the book
said the big picture is that learners want to be involved in their own
learning, which will be a goal of my agriculture class. I agree with most of the cognitive theories
as I understand them. I believe in the
inclusive setting suggestions for the most part also. I worry when the book speaks of children with
behavioral problems being sent to the psychologist though. It seems to me that too many times teachers
would be quick to act on something like this instead of taking the kid aside
and seeing what they are truly up to.
Meaning what makes that kid act the way they do.
I believe cognitive
theory will work with my students in an agriculture class although I do not
think I will actively be in the process of using these tools by name I will use
them more like it says through automacity or by trial and error. I think these tools would be very useful in
an identification section of and agriculture class whether it is plant or
animal. Animal breeds would be a similar
lesson to plant names in the repetitive style of lesson planning.
