For Chapter 7, you will be responsible for creating QTC. Create two questions, one that requires lower-order thinking skills (as described by Bloom: knowing, understanding, applying) and one that requires higher-order thinking skills (as described by Bloom: analyzing, synthesizing, creating). You will categorize your questions so people can see what level you think it is.

Question One: Based on what we know about connotation, which word out of the pair is a negative connotation? (Foolish/Unwise) Why?
Question Two: Based on what we know about connotation, create a paragraph (or a couple of sentences) that utilize a negative and positive connotation based on the central protagonist of The Great Gatsby. You may choose a particular scene to write about, or you may write about the character in general terms. Questions that may help you with creating positive and negative connotations could consist of, has the character made any poor decisions, and if so what are they? Does the character possess any quirky traits? How does the character act around other characters and why?
Foolish or unwise? and negative connotation: this is knowledge based questions based on vocabulary and comprehension...definitely lower order thinking.
